CrystalShell *Complete Clam Shell Fossil with Calcite Crystals

65.00

An intact clam shell with calcite crystals growing on the seam of the and can be seen where the hard grey sand has broken away in the first two pictures. It is most likely a quayhog clam seashell but since I’m not a conchologist I am not one hundred percent certain. This clam fossil has some sediment broken off inside and rattles when you gently shake it. I have carefully cracked up several of these and sometimes it is full of crystals and sometimes it is not. Sometimes the fossil is half full or has one cluster spot of crystals. Just like a geode! You never know what’s inside. Magical, intriguing, awesomeness! I knew nature was cool but I didn’t know how totally radical the raw world was until I started finding these gems.
